1. Tuner
You need to know if your guitar is in tune when you are learning to play guitar. If you are a beginner you definitely need to check the tuning with the electrical tuner. This is a very important tool. Furthermore play in tune will also train your ears with the in the right way. You can develop your ability to tune the guitar with just ears in the future.
2. Metronome
When you play guitar you play a lot of rhythm part of a song. The key to be a good rhythm guitar player is to be able to make the right sound at the right beat. Metronome is the excellent tool for training your sense of beat. You should always start with slow tempo and speed up when you feel comfortable. You probably are amazed by some guitarists’ speed playing. No matter how fast they play they play with the tempo and beat.
3. Fingernails or finger picks
When you play acoustic guitar you do need to learn the finger picking. Some people play with their finger nails and some people play with their finger tips. It’s all up to what kind of sound you want. Finger nails will produce a clean and bright sound and finger tips will make your tone sound thick and warm. If you play with finger nails, you need to polish the shape of your nails very often to keep tone sounds good. You have to try different angles to pick the strings to get the best tone you like. 5. Pick
Pick is very commonly used in both electric guitar playing and acoustic guitar playing. You can play picking patterns with pick, strumming with pick and play solo with pick. Some people use fingers to strum chords, its ok when you have strong nails. If you don’t have nails or you have soft nails then strumming with pick will give you a bright and clean sound.
These accessories are actually very handy and important to build your solid foundation for your guitar skill. So consider about invest some money in these accessories when you are learning to play guitar.
